A refurbished product is one that was defective, gets returned to the manufacturer who fixes it. They cannot sell it as new, so they call it refurbished. Normally the refurbished products come with the same warranty as a new product.

When an item has been damaged or used. It is usually upgraded and fixed to be better than it was when it was new. All my computers are refurbished or built from scratch. It is usually better to get a refurbished item than a new one sometimes. And a lot cheaper.

It means taking a home that is in need of repairs, but more than anything, it means redecorating as well. Refurbished would mean the house would be completed overhauled, repairs, and decorating, new colors, new tile, new floors, that sort of thing. Not just plumbing repaired, get the picture. You would be seeing a completely new look to the house.

It's a product that has been returned by a customer. The company (not the one who sold the product but the one who made it) repackaged it and put it back to the store.
Look for refurbished items because they have been inspected twice and are good as new.

refurbished means that the item was returned by the original purchaser because of some kind of defect. It was then repaired, repackaged, and re-sold to you. Buyer beware. I bought a refurbished stereo years ago and it turned out to be a hunk of crap. Most of the time, the warranty is void as well.

In computer technology, refurbished refers to "old" or used computer equipment that has been restored to like-new working condition and/or appearance or computer devices that have been sent back to the factory to fix a flaw. The term typically refers to the hardware components of a computer that have been either replaced with similar components or updated with newer technology than the device originally came with. Companies that lease computers will often refurbish the computers after they are turned in and resell the refurbished units, commonly referred to as refurbs, at prices lower than those of new computers and/or donate the refurbs to schools or charities.

I believe that it means that an item was damaged, then repaired, then put back on the market for sale.
