They use to call it "honeymooners bladder infection". Your bladder is being hit while having intercourse. Drink cranberry juice daily and a large glass of water before "going to bed". Then be sure to empty your bladder after sex.

Yes, guys can. The sex act is only partially responsible. UTI comes from e-coli bacteria that is in all our intestines. If the bacteria comes in contact with the urethra, and the urethra is not resistant, the bacteria will infect.
Cleanliness of both partners prior to and after, including urination, may assist in preventing re-infection. My health food lady touts cranberries (raw or capsule form) and black cherries (raw or in capsule form) to prevent UTI. For me, those supplements and an anti yeast (a different problem), anti sugar diet has prevented re-infection for 6 months.

UTI is not an STD, but sex can trigger it.
If your partner is well-endowed or if he is rough, it can push the bacteria from your vagina (it's harmless bacteria that normally lives there) into your urethra, which causes the problems. So sex could have caused, but your guy didn't give it to you, since it's not a virus or a bacteria that he had.
It is possible for males to get UTIs, but much less likely, since their urethra is much longer and bacteria can not be pushed as easily.

Hello, i think its possible but not very likely. There are lots of ways to get UTI and then some people are just prone to them, expecially if you have a short ureter. Think back and try to remember if you had them before your b/f came into the picture. You might need to change tissue.. I know the colored scented tissues give me UTI. I havent had UTI since I switched over to white unsented tissue. might want to try that. good luck.

Make him wear a condom and seek medical treatment for himself.because males can have uti's too.Although most males don't typically show symptoms. It can lead to pain, irritation and other infections for you.
IF he don't want to go to the doctor and use other barrer protection for the sakeof yall's health don't give up the goodies for him.
