False. Custody doesn't matter when it comes to a person's feelings.

Perhaps they are a little worried about bringing a strange man/woman to their lives right away

FALSE
I don't think either moves on faster than the other. The one with custody has the daily responsibility of dealing with the children, and hopefully letting the other parent help in decision-making. And the parent without the custody may be dealing with not being with the children any longer. Coming home to an empty house everyday. There's no saying who is going through more than the other. People are different. Divorce is never an easy thing, especially when children are involved.

I would say false. The person with custody could possibly be in a better mental state because of it and that would probably help them to move on faster.

I'd say the person with custody moves on faster because they get so much help from the government, friends and family. A lot of people feel sorry for the one "stuck with the kids" and offer so much help. Churches always help too. I am only giving my advice. I have never experienced this personally. My friends and some family have gone through it.

False. I do not think its a matter of moving on from the broken/failed relationship. A person without custody could miss their family and kids and not be able to move on as fast as the person who has custody. But in a lot of cases, the man seems to move on faster, maybe beacuse he lost his kids, but the woman is stuck taking care of the kids full time. This makes it hard for her to be in another relationship and move on.

The person that initiates the divorce is ahead of the game mentally. If you don't have custody you will soon learn that your ex begins playing games with you. Keeping the kids from you and nagging about every little thing. This will not get better, it only gets worse. For some reason they will think the non custodial parent is flush with money. For some reason they think they should be being paid to raise their own kids, and have you stay out of their upbringing.

Everyone moves on from a relationship at their own pace. It will take a while for the emotional healing to happen. I don't believe that either having custody or not having custody will affect the rate at which you are able to get past the hurt that was caused. Time will heal all wounds .

TRUE. That person is not as accountable for their actions as the person whom has the obligation and responsibility as the person who has custody. Many times, there is more time to party, eat out and do WHATEVER. The custodial parent usually does not have that luxury if that parent is a good parent. Dating takes a back seat to your child's well being. It is as if your life is on hold for the time being. Between chess club meeting, band activities, football and friends spending the night you have to make sure that your child(ren) are taken care of. I not believe that the non-custodial parent has any clue if they are not as involved in their child(ren) lives as they should be.

The person without a heart and selfish motives moves on faster, and judging from this and other questions you've been asking the past few weeks, you already are moving on at near-light speed.
