Yes, I don't think it's anything to worry about though. Maybe they needed to schedule a couple people after you due to unforeseen circumstances. Don't worry about it or you'll drive yourself crazy with worry. Let go.... use the force. Sorry- got carried away.
He probably said "... after completing interviews for the week" out of force of habit. Especially if he was saying that the week prior to other candidates.
Have a great day!!! AND good luck. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I hate the "weaknesses" question. Sounds like you handled it well though.
The HR lady on the phone may have just said that to get you in there to fill a slot they had open, trying to keep the interviews going back-to-back.
He might have told you he'd be in touch after completing interviews in order to buy himself time to make the decision. Interviewing is such a mind-game-playing process, and they almost always send candidates off with the idea that they're little fish in a big pond. His comment sounds like a standard way to end an interview, whether or not it was truthful.
You may be "just another candidate," or you may be THE ONE. It sounds like the interview went well, so just keep your head up, and wait & see!
If you don't get this job and if you're unsure about your response to the "weakness" question, then give that question some hard thought so you're better prepared to answer it in your next interview -- and there will be a next interview, and you will get a job. Believe it! Good luck to you.

I think you should sit down right now and write a letter to the person who interviewed you. You need to thank him for taking the time to interview you and express your interest in the job and list a couple of reasons why you feel your the best candidate. I did this after a interview once and not only did I get the job, the person who did my interview was impressed with the thank you letter. She said, no body had ever sent a thank you for interviewing me letter before and that showed her that I had real interest in the position. She now teaches at a business collage and uses my thank you letter as an example to her students. FYI, I've always been asked to give a weakness about myself in an interview. I think they just want to know your human.

Is the company a company you trust. When HR is lying to you there is a problem. Another case may be that Monday was the cut off date for first interviews and the other week is for second interviews for candidates. You have the right to ask. Let them know that you are seriously looking for work and that you need to know exactly where you stand with them. Good luck.

It might have been the last day of initial interviews, and the week was being booked with people coming for second interviews. Just cross your fingers that you get a second interview, it's a good sign. The first is too weed out candidates they definately don't want, the second means you're in the running, and typically when they run background checks and whatnot. Good luck!

You can never tell what an employer is looking for on these interviews... you could be exactly what they want or the exact opposite.
I hate when they make you give a weakness about yourself and you have to give one of those "This is my weakness, but I really think it's a strength" bulls**t answers.
Hope you don't have to make written communications in English too much with this job or you may need to take a grammar class, bud.

Job interviews suck don't they.
I have been on so many job interviews where they just thought that I hung the moon. I thought for sure I was going to get an offer but I would never hear from them again. I do not know why they act so overwhelmed with your experience and personality and then NOTHING...
Hang in there, a good one always comes along

Sounds like HR and the interviewer are out of sinc. Make sure you send a follow up letter thanking the interviewer for their time. A little boot licking might land you the job, plus it just a professional courtesy.

In some companies they leave an extra day of interview time in case there is someone that could not come in or if the hiring committee is not all present at the time of the interview.
