I don't know. I'm not very tactful. Maybe trying to say everything the nicest way possible without being too blunt or putting someone in a weird position. I don't know.

I define tact as saying something how I would want to hear it if I was doing something stupid.

artfully is another way to use Tact.

you use tact to soften a blow usually. Like if you had to tell someone they were overweight but not hurt their feelings
