Its an unholy war.
Anyone who would butcher unarmed civilians because they have another religion is a profound fool and the lowest of humans.

Looks as though few have the ability to be intelligent. Of course it's a given with Kookoo, but some of the others are struggling here as well.
Plain and simple. A huge group of Muslims have declared Jihad on America. Jihad is a holy war against infidels. We are the ones they consider infidels. It is a holy war to the Muslims and a war on terror for the USA.

I dont think anyone's God intended war; Why would war be holy unless intended by the God in whom you believe? So we could all get to heaven faster and sooner? Begs the question of why we are here in the first place! That said, Bush created a breeding ground for more terrorism by invading Iraq... There can be no win or loose in this war.... its simply about death for those who die and sadness for their families. No justification in my humble opinion for all the civilian deaths and for opening the proverbial "can of worms."

As the Middle East burns, GOP pols, neocon pundits, and a powerful Christian right leader all sing the same (crazy) tune.
an Armageddon prophesier who insists that military confrontation with Iran is foretold in the Bible as a necessary precondition for the Second Coming.
While it hardly seems like a sound basis for foreign policy, as the violence between Israel and Hezbollah escalates at the Israel-Lebanon border and beyond, Hagee’s view of Iran’s central role in a world-altering showdown seems to be catching on. And not just on the wingnut airwaves or among war-mongering chattering heads. It’s gaining momentum among certain Republican presidential aspirants, who, like all Republican presidential aspirants, count beans and feel compelled to bow to the will of American religious extremists to win.
Of course this is a Holy war!

It appears to be for the particular people who believe their version of Islam states those who do not believe as they do must be exterminated. They've bombed unarmed civilians in the U.S., Spain, England, India, and many other places. For those being blown up, it's not a war against Islam, it's a matter of survival. What do you do when someone wants to kill you, will not negotiate, and will not stop until they do?

Iran, Bin Laden, Saddam, Syria, Hez Bowl Nuts, Hamas all state through action and word that they are in a Holy War with USA and Israel.
Now, logic and experience makes me believe them at their word.
You would have to be a Democrat not to see the violence as the declared Holy War against us.

It is a war of civilizations, and a holy war only because it involves a satanical religion who wants to kill anyone that does not convert to a 5th century lunacy. So I guess it is both.
