I repeat, lol. I replied to someone else before. It did work for me.. cough, 2 weeks. Then it stopped the whole way through of using it. It does not make your face look like the stars on tv. Remember they make a billion more cash a month, day, year than most of us do. They can get their imperfections taken away by the dermotologists. Yet for some people it works very well. It depends, you can always take it back. Proactiv has a 60day guarentee. In which I was lucky. It was about 58 days, I had 2 days left to return it, and I did. Another lady told me the same story, she bought it, and it only worked for about 2 weeks then it stopped the process.

I myself sadly I do have bad acne (not bad now though almost full clear skin :) Proactive was the first thing I tried. Thought for me SOME went away. But if you don't use it constantly..you would get breakouts now and then. But I completely stopped using it because it made my own skin very dry and irritated. I use AcneFree(I think thats whats it is called xD) for me..it worked like a charm :) I use to use it everynight, but now I got more busy and use it probably twice a week. Yet my skin is still clearer then before.

I have been dealing with moderate acne over my entire face for several years, and thus far nothing has ever seemed to work. Two years ago I saw the late night infomercial for Proactive Solution, and how great their system worked. Afterwards I decided to order the basic 3 step package with a bonus tube of refining mask cream. This package cost approximately $45.00, and I even managed to pay by check over the phone! It's possible to order each individual bottle depends on your needs, but they tend to cost more that way.

This particular review covers Proactive Solution Step 3: Repairing Lotion. There are a total of 4 reviews (listed below) covering the entire basic package of Proactive Solutions.

Proactive Solution Step 1: Renewing Cleanser
Proactive Solution Step 2: Revitalizing Toner
Proactive Solution Step 3: Repairing Lotion
Proactive Solution Step 4: Refining Mask

The third step in the Proactive Solution acne treatment package is the Repairing Lotion. This particular product comes in a small white bottle 2.0oz, similar to the refining mask. Although the amount is small, the product will actually last a long time simply because it goes on thin and smooth. I found this bottle of Repairing Lotion to last longer than the refining mask. The main purpose of the Repairing Lotion is to fight back against existing acne flare ups. The product is applied directly to affected areas, and left on throughout the day or overnight. The active ingredient is Benzyl Peroxide, but unlike other generic creams, the Repairing Lotion didn't overdry my skin.

The Repairing Lotion is really the backbone of the entire process, it's the most effective product against existing blemishes. It can be applied to any affected areas of your forehead, face, neck, chin. This is the easiest cream to apply, you simply rub it into your skin as directed (after the cleanser and toner applications, usually once per day). Most of the time I used this product twice per day, once in the morning, and again at night before going to bed. Even though that may exceed the application usage, it still didn't overdry my skin.

Since the Repairing Lotion stays on your skin, there is no need to wash it off or allow it to dry for a certain amount of time. It simply stays on your face overnight, and will be washed off in the morning during a shower, or during the first step of the Proactive Solution when using the cleanser. There is a slight offensive odor emitted from the ingredient, Benzyl Peroxide, but if you've been exposed to other acne medications the smell should not bother you. I've dealt with so many similar products the smell is almost non-existent for me, just got use to it overtime.

Overall I found the Repairing Lotion to be very useful and effective in acne treatment. It was easy to apply, no immediate wash-up needed, and best of all it doesn't smell or look obvious when applied. Throughout my two month usage I noticed a dramatic decrease in existing blemishes. Combined with the refining mask, these two entities are a devastating force to be reckoned with. The only negative that comes to mind is the small amount of product within the 2.0oz bottle. Since I used the Repairing Lotion over my entire face twice per day, it went faster than the cleanser or toner. So for a few weeks I was left with no lotion, but plenty of cleansers. However for a measly $20.00 you can order a replacement bottle, and trust me it's worth it. Even if you don't plan to purchase the entire 4 step package, you should still get the Repairing Lotion, I believe it's the most effective item they sell.

Well my best friend claims it is the only thing that works for her, meanwhile i don't think it really helped me ( maybe a bit). regardless, it wont hurt, but if you dont have much money maybe you can see if someone has any and use there's for a little bit before you order. Also, i think proactive gives you a money back guarantee if you don't like the results in the first months. its foolproof.

This is just me personally, but.... The majority of my friends who have used it have been happy with it. The few who were not happy with it just said it did not work. It did not seem to make them worse, it was just no help.

You do not say how old you are, but I do know someone older who is using it. She claims she likes it, but I have not seen any improvement in her skin.

It is way too drying for my skin.

As far as the price, as long as it lasts, it really isn't that much more expensive than other products. But I know what a waste it is to buy something that doesn't work. Good luck to you.

I use the clean and clear acne products, and a prescription called Clindimycin Phosphate topical solution, which works well for me. However, i have heard that Proactive works. good luck:)

i had acne for 22 years and it was somewhere between normal and severe. i dont' get acne as bad as i use to but i still get some. i've tried proactiv but it doesn't work for me. recently tho i've started using Obagi and it works for me. it's made my skin just right, not oily or dry. it also made my skin lighter as well as same tone (no blemishes). it also smooths the skin so no more scars. altho if you have severe scarring than you'll have to use it longer. i have to say that it's really expensive but it really does work.

I have heard that if you use and then stop using it your pimples will come back. I use something similar called Murad. You can find it almost anywhere. Anyways instead of using the benide peroxide which is in Proactv it has the Salicylic acid which in my opinion is better because it will get rid of the red in your face. I hope I could help.
