The saying Savvy has been around for years. My mom, being the dork she is, said that I am very 'computer savvy' lol. Go ahead and use it if you want. I don't have a problem with it.

If you want to sound like a copycat from the films, then sure go ahead. There's nothing stopping you.
Make sure you use it properly. Misusing a word only makes you sound stupid and uneducated.
