does this mean my baby has defects?

They are not very accurate. Lots of false positives.

Your doctor will perform more tests to be sure, but until then, I wouldn't stress out about it.

It' pretty accurate but it does not mean the baby can have defects. With my second child the test came back abnormal and I had a amnio done nothing was wrong with the baby so I had another retake and came back normal. With my third pregnancy it came back abnormal too and as it turns out it came back positive because I had twins. My OB did not even suspect.

It's very accurate. I am still waiting on my results for the test. I am 19 weeks pregnant and I got it done last week.

I answered your question last time... check out this website http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/system/medical/triple_screen.html. A triple screen only shows your chemical levels... It could be off if you are not as far along as they thought...

Accurate, mine came back normal. Please talk to your OB doctor ASAP if you are concerned.
