I think that EVERYBODY should watch it and that a lot of people arent because they dont want to see or face the truth into what it was all about. I think it was a damn good documentary.
The race card will always be played in a situation like this because its dead in your face - we all saw what happened, we saw these people suffering and dying and with the slow response is like government didnt even care-- which is probably true. While the majority of the people that suffered tremendously were blacks because they were poor and didnt have a means of getting out, lets not forget about the whites, latinos and others that were left behind because they were considered to be in the same crowd as the blacks. Lets not forget those whites, latinos and others that were stranded just as much as the blacks who werent in the same crowd or area. I saw their suffering and anger and hostility just as much.
EVERYONE needs to be blamed for this ESPECIALLY our government. How could you say stop blaming the government when their job is to GOVERN our country, they are the main people in charge and you can say the state this and the state that. YES i agree they are to blame as well as the politicians and governers but at the end of the day, the GOVERNMENT is the big dog and Bush is our leader.
Why did it take two - three weeks for him to arrive in N.O.??! And shame on his mother, that predjudice b*tch* You need to all watch Acts 3 and 4. The United States can do everything and anything for any other country, but when it comes to our own -- especially blacks, they dont give a damn. Shame on America. And here we are, supposed to be a rich country, full of prosperity, the American Dream.. what a crock. We are full of predjudice people, hatred, violence and every other piece of dirt under the sun, and we all cause it, no matter the race.
I just love how people can say oh, I would have gotten out of there, they are stupid, they should have died.. Well try being dirt poor and having no means of getting out. Imagine it being a family member of yours, then you would be singing another tune. People speak differently when they are not in the same situation, so therefore dont judge. Maybe everyone should watch that documentary. Maybe youll learn something.
Of course, N.O. wasnt the only place that was hit by Katrina, no one is saying that it was. But it was one of the places that was mainly hit with the most devistation and casualties, so obviously that place will be focused on more than lets say Louisiana, not that they arent just as important.
Maybe god should send in another meteor down here and blow this whole place to pieces. Maybe when things start over none of this crap will ever go on again.

It was biased, liberal crap.
Here's some questions that Spike forgot to answer:
What happened to the millions of dollars that the federal government gave to New Orleans to fix the levies?
Why didn't Nagan use the school buses to evacuate people?
Why didn't Nagan and Blanco let the Feds help when they offered? The Feds are NOT allowed to take over your city/county/state. It's how the country is set up.
Why were the Democratic governor and Democratic mayor given a full pass on their screw ups while everything was blamed on Bush - who had absolutely no authority to do anything?
Why did the police take guns away from law-abiding citizens who were left with absolutely no means of protecting themselves? And why did they have to be sued to return the guns?
And, thank you for reminding me sealss3066 - since when is NO the only city devastated by Katrina?
Please don't watch. Get your information from a source that cares about truth - not bashing conservatives.

I saw a commercial for it. I'm sure it undoubtadly was a fair, unbiased documentary. Probably as truthfull as michael moores. (note for some, the above was sarcastic).
Did he happen to point out that the governer would not let in the national guard until 48 hours after the Fed's offered them?
Did he happen to point out that there was an emergency evacuation plan already written for the mayor to follow in such a case, yet he failed to follow it?
Or was it just another piece of garbage trying to blame the Bush administration for people not evacuating when they were told there was a mandatory evacuation?

Obviously, you didn't get the entire story.
The LOCAL government is who let these people down. The Feds were ready to go, but they could not do anything until the mayor of NO and governor of LA gave them permission. For whatever reason you want to believe, they didn't ask for help for days.
How is it the Fed's fault that the corrupt politicians in LA kept stealing the MILLIONS of dollars that the Feds gave them to fix the levies?
How is it the Fed's fault that those school buses weren't used to get people out of there?
How is it the Fed's fault that the nursing homes weren't evacuated in time?
Please get the entire story before you point all of your anger toward an entity that could not have done much differently.

Yes, it was one of the best documentaries I have seen lately.
I totally agree with how you feel. I thought it was interesting that not one corporate media channel reported on it the next day. I look forward to seeing part 3 & 4 tonight. On another note, to all the right wing radio blowhards that put Sean Penn down for his comments of dissent.....Where were you when this disaster happened? Penn was up to his neck in water helping to get victims out. He made me proud to watch that actions are stronger than words.

properly, face it, in the journey that they extremely believed what they taught those childrens, they'd have already executed it themselves. they're not gonna attempt to get their own childrens killed because they understand its a crock, yet they're not doing it for his or her faith, they're doing it to get rid of Israel and every person who helps Israel. this is not religions, this is political, and the lives of a few detrimental childrens haven't any intending to them in any respect. it really is a lot extra accessible to brainwash toddlers, so that they are the aims. Get em youthful, prepare them to kill contained in the call of God. i imagine there's a particular position in hell for those monsters.

ROFL, I love this, do people really believe that N.O. was the ONLY place katrina destroyed?? Why is it the ONLY place that hasn't been started to be rebuilt? Because its a demorats stronghold and they believe the fed gov job is to do everything for them and they do nothing for themselves

It must have been a lie. Millions of dollars went to crooked democrat politicians that rule New Orleans.
Wasted money that was sent to help the people.
