either you have a very large tank, they are all actually female, or very ill fish. When ill bettas often don't fight, they just die. I would keep them apart, the females can all live together but the males need to be the only male in their tank (though they can live with other fish, just not other bettas)

You don't say what size aquarium you have them in...

Males are territorial and if they each have enough space at the top of the tank, in different places, they will stick to their area and not stray too far, thus not running into each other. Just make sure you have floating plants for them to claim as their own and anchor their bubble nests to.

The females are not agressive and will move from area to area as their whims take them. If they are in condition, they are apt to spawn with one of the males.

Good luck.

In one tank? If it's anything less than a 55-gallon tank and isn't densely planted, yes.

Altogether, I have 21 fish and 3 African dwarf frogs in three different tanks. As long as your fish are in a suitable environment and you take care of them, there's no such thing as too many fish.

Personally I'd say yes you do, maybe if you keep the numbers even between males and females it wouldn't be too bad. Betta fish are a very terriroial fish so make sure they have their space. Hope i was helpful.
