-India. (yahoo darn!) What if one has a B. Sc? Is there any way to sidestep this requirement? Or is there any quick fix for it? Are diplomas accepted? Okay. These will do for now. Thanks.

Do a masters in India, finsih it one year, and then apply for us.
Or apply for a diploma that has one year duration.

B.Sc from a good well known university in India is same as B.S( It take 4 years or approximately 120 to 133 Semester credit hours of work after high school in USA).

In most cases M.S requires 30 to 33 semester credit hours after B.S. Most students from India are able to do it in 1 to 2 years.

Since B.S and B.Sc.( both are baccalaureate degree, British acronym is Sc. for science and American is S. )were considered equivalent, you are allowed to enrol in M.S. directly, enrolling university will look for deficiencies, require you to take additional make up courses. The make up courses are not counted towards M.S. credit as a rule.

Indian universities are more structured, US universities are more open (you have lots of choices of structuring your education in US)
