I'm not a transgendered person, but I definatly understand how you feel, like how it feels to be alone and the feeling you find out when someone else understands what you're going through. It's one of the greatest feelings in the world.

I used to feel like the only bisexual in the world. When I was 14, I felt better just accidentally seeing the word "bisexual" in a dictionary. It was good to know that that word *had* to be invented, because that meant there were other people who liked both women and men. I came out slowly, unfurling like a rosebud between the ages of 17 and 19, and one of the wonderful things that happened was being able to make people say, "I thought I was the only one, and then I saw you."

The time I finally figured out that I'm trans was through the internet, so I guess once I figured it out I was already connected to the community. I knew that there were others out there. I did feel isolated for those years my parents took away the internet and didn't allow me to transition.
