I felt that way too until I was 28 and was told I had breast cancer, my son was only in kindergarden and this man was telling me I'm going to die. My world STOPPED! But lucky for me I found a doctor that believed in me and got me through it. Now 10 years later my motto is
"If you stop an appreciate what you have, Then what you don't have won't matter as much"
I learned to leave all my soulda-coulda-whoulda-wish I had bullsh*t behind and learned to live my life.
It was a tough listen to learn but well worth it.
My other motto:
"Don't worry if the glass is half empty or half full. Just enjoy the wine"
If nothing else I hope you see the joy in just being alive. There were people last night that no longer have the breath that you have right now.
Good Luck

This is a good question. I was walking my dog last night thinking & feeling the exact same thing. So I started saying my thank yous. Being thankful for my eye sight & my health & my ability to walk - things that most of us take for granted. I get depressed and maybe - depression is a part of life. I don't mean debilitating depression but more of the "blues". Plus - if you are female dealing with all that drama (pms, cramps, mood swings - ick!) doesn't help much does it....

If I can't be happy with what I have today, how can I possibly expect to be happy with what I might have tomorrow. I've changed my outlook on life immensely since starting over again 2 years ago at the age of 49.

Because we don't know what life is like without those things. You only truly appreciate something after you have lost it.

being depressed isn't something you can help, its a chemical imbalance and can be easily treated by visiting a Dr.

Because we want more. Actually, I do appreciate what I have. But, I think there's nothing wrong with wanting more.
