They think they can win the "War On Drugs" LOL!!!
They thought they could win the war on CommunismLOL
As you said, Terrorism is a "Strategy". To win it you would have to invade every country in the world. There is a saying: "Terror is the weapon of the weak and we deplore it.
War is the weapon of the strong and we glorify it." . The only people who can win this war are companies like Halliburton, Boeing and munitionworkers. Also political hacks with cushy jobs in orgs. such as Homeland Security. There is a way out & that would begin with getting allied forces out of countries where we don't belong.
And please do not give me this human rights crap, the Talaban was in power from the middle 80s to 2001. They were being financed by the US, supposedly to curtail the heroin trade. Women were in Burkas and being beaten etc. and noone in the west gave a damn. 9/11 changed all that.

it somewhat is previous Iraq. it somewhat is a litmus try for our ethics and character. We as people have became very complacent and tepid with regard to how lots we want international peace. What each American might desire to ask himself is: a million) can we've peace right here? if so, then: 2) Did it require a bloody revolution and schism from oppressive England? if so, then: 3) Why are we so conceited to assume that anybody else's freedom could be accomplished without comparable value? the subject is that folk don't think in reasons worth dying for. the only people who do anymore are the religious enthusiasts and zealots. it somewhat is quite merciless to our freedom-hungry Iraqi brothers and sisters to bypass away them in the palms of madmen. enable me placed it this form: people who insist that we pull out of the combat against terror and oppression are the same people who do no longer stop a rape, intrude whilst a newborn is being abused, or call the police whilst crime happens. they do no longer care because of the fact this isn't any longer their concern.

When people and nations(the West) live in darkness, they lose sense of direction. In an information age, knowledge–driven global culture of reason, ignorance is no longer a requisite to learn from the living history. The previous Empires knew their geography and limits, but the newly barbaric articulated American Empire in its infancy, is challenging to the limits of the Laws of God and appears obsessed with “fear” of being replaced by the new emerging nations of Asia and South America. Filthy phallic worshiper Bush invoked the “War on Islam”, as a dictum of power, not reason and wisdom, to camouflage the prospective future with acts of barbarity and to dispel the notion of accountability in global affairs. Historically, people and nations pursuing this path of behavior have ended up in self-defeat and self-destruction.

The 9/11 attacks and religious doctrines have no common ground. Hourly paid intellectuals turned guardian of approved truth, allege that Islam breeds terrorism. The Western mass media complements the scientifically discovered notion to poison the public perceptions and source of judgments against the Arabs and Muslims. The Neo-Conservatives helped to rob the humanity of its human heritage. The perception of ‘radical Islam’ was invented and enhanced by the ‘fear’ of terrorism and as a precursor to attack Muslims.

Only stupid Americans who listen to the President's deceptions actually believe this. Most of these folks are country hicks who don't see the big city terrorism (gang violence, muggings, homicides, etc.) every day.

They think invading Muslim lands will somehow make them safer. Little do they know that invading Muslim lands was what made it dangerous for them in the first place.

Take care of our own country before going off invading other countries. That's how you make America safe for Americans!

The President's foreign policies are solely for the benefit of the Bush/Cheney axis of war profiteers, financiers and oilmen.

Excuse me! America built the Panama Canal. America sent a man to the MOON. America invented Nuclear weapons. America discovered the cure for polio. America is the land of the free and the home of the brave. America is endless fields of grain and home of invention and creativity. Terrorism ? Just another minor inconvenience. What America hasn't been able to figure out yet is how to provide basic medical care to its old, its sick, its children, its unemployed, its under employed, its widowed, homeless, mentally ill, malnourished blind and deaf citizens.

We are not fighting a war on terrorism. The correct phrase is "War On Terror."

Your logic is flawed. It is based on a false premise. You say we can not win because we are not fighting a country. Does that mean we can not lose either?

Where does it say we can only fight countries? Don't we really fight the people in that country? Can't those people be terrorists?

Do we have to wait until they form one country? Isn't their having one common religion enough?

Why can't we fight terrorists?

We can. We are. We will either win or lose in our war against terror and those who are terrorists.

I think we will win.

Actually Americas entire domestic and foreign policies are based on "War" .. war on drugs, war on illiteracy, war on crime, war on terror, war on poverty, war war war ...peace has become a forgotten relic of less aggressive times.. are we winning any of them is another question all together.. of course we can't win a war against a specter like terrorism... but they're winning a war against our minds. Just read the responses in here.
Gorge Orwell and Aldous Huxley both are spinning in there graves.
