rush to your township and request your application to be processed so that they can get you the new documents within a week. There is a option to get it in couple of days, week, 2 week, 4/6 weeks etc. It will cost you dearly depends upon how fast you want it.

be sure to attach all necessary documents to get your new one.

You do not say where you live. But there are a couple of major cities in the USA. That has actual pass part offices. You must go in. Take your current passport, and 99% of time it can be renew same day or next day.
Don't go to the Post Office, or use one of the services that say they can do.
Do it yourself.
ps. you well need either your airlines ticket or travel orders

the project is there's a super backlog of passport applications suited now via new rule approximately desiring a passport to bypass to Canada or the Carribean which will come into result quickly, so there is many, many people waiting. you're able to touch the place of work and see if there is besides to expedite your passport, yet except you paid the fee for quicker provider, you're able to no longer get it.

The only place to get a real passport is the US Passport office. Go down to the post office and they can tell you all about it.

yes, you need to expedite your passport, when you go the the passport office & fill out the application (Assuming you're american, if not sorry, this doesn't work for you) you can ask to express your passport which can be anywhere from days to 2 weeks, depending on where your passport comes from.
here's the american website for it.
