Well............................Here is a idea:

Ask them if they can please save up there money. Also, ask if you can set up a stall. Like lemonade, crafts, poems, even a kissing both, if they alow it!!! Beg if you have to. If they say yes, start making stuff like lemonade of stuff. How much did it cost to make the stuff?? I will take crafts. About two dollars for a picture, right?? Then charge 50 cents more. You should have the price of 2.50. Set up a stall that has lots of color. Write your name then your buissnes on top. Like 'Moes Lemonade' or 'Kellys Kissing'. Then write the price. If you cant make a stall, you can hold up a sign. GOOD LUCK.

If they say no, ask if they can please save up there money. Ask your friends to pitch in with maybe ike 10 or 15 dollars. Put in some of your money. Start a funraser at school. You can make fun baskets or color pic and try to give those out. Soon, you will have a lot of money!!!! GOOD LUCK

Follow these ideas and you will have a ipod in no time!!

Do they normally spend that much on you for your birthday? If so, tell them you will forego a party and any other presents if you can have just that one thing. If they don't normally spend that much, I say you need to wait until you are 16, get a job, and buy your own.

It may not be a matter of convincing. Your parents have bills to pay and you are asking a lot. They also need to save for their retirement, so don't think that every extra dollar you think they have should be spent on you.

Have a happy birthday and enjoy whatever you get. Remember to show your appreciation.

My daughter was in your same situation last year. I gave her the answer my father gave me when I was a teen and wanted a new surfboard. "You want it bad enough, then work for it. Save your money and when you can afford it, buy it." So I went to work at 14 and bought it when I had enough money. She saved and pooled her allowance and birthday money until she had enough and bought it herself and got the iPod she wanted. Now she works so that she can have a monthly allowance to purchase songs to download.

That may not be the answer you are looking for, but she has learned a great lesson.

y not get a creative zen instead? they're tuns cheaper. you could also try asking for it split between your birthday and Christmas- they'll probably give you a small gift at Christmas anyway so you don't end up with nothing. You could also try saving up and paying for some of it yourself, or ask for money from everyone, with the explicit purpose of buying an ipod/ zen. hope this helps

You can look on eBay for possible deals. Also, you may want to consider the lower-end iPod, such as the Shuffle. It works great, and it is fairly inexpensive. I would not push my parents to pay something that is clearly expensive in your eyes and theirs.

Depends on which iPod you ask for. Shuffle is ultra cheap and reasonable. Maybe it would be a good first iPod, or the 1gig nano.

Do chores & save up for it. That's what I did for my 8-bit Nintendo system back in the 80's.

tell them that you want to earn your ipod by doing chores around the house.

OR... keep telling them that you want one and be on your best behavior for the next 2 months.

Don't beg. Ask what they would want done in exchange. Offer to help around the house.
