I did not care much for him at the time. He did many things which could come back to haunt us. This includes turning a blind eye to the transfer of advanced technology to the Chinese. But look back, I have to say he was a far better president then we have with Bush. I miss him. I also miss the prosperity he brought to the US. The Conservatives can tell me all about Bush's economic numbers, but I know what I was making in the 90s and what I am making now, and Bush's policies have created a great loss to me. Can't argue against a shrunken paycheck.

Say what you will about tax & spend democrats but I know my life back then. While it was probably true I was spending more in taxes when Clinton was President, I was MAKING tons more money so I never missed it at all. Every1 was paying into the system of the country and we weren't short on cash for schools or roads and the entire US economy was chugging along at a healthy clip. Everybody had money coming in so it was nothing to pay it out. Now we have GOP'ers forcing money only to the top 1% of the population and no money for schools, healthcare, HELL, we can't pay for anything now! I'm a 43 yrs old registered Independant & have voted for many different political parties in that time, but I will never vote republican again b/c of the nasty taste left in my mouth by these greedy dooshbags. Clinton was a great President. A lousy husband, but a great President. His legacy will be seen as far & away more successful in the eyes of history.

oh jesus. the list is way to long to put here. if you think he protected the country, then there really is no help for you. it is because of him we had a do nothing administration for 8 years. the things he did do were to ignore terrorism and inflict he and his wifes criminal activity upon the hapless people on the united states. he also made the office of president of the united states a laughing stock around the world. we have not recovered from that yet.

the only thing bill clinton did was contribute to 9/11 directly, and destroy the democratic party, for which i am glad. after his terms in office, the offices held by democrats went from 1500 to just under 300.

i love him for that part.

Um no. I cant stand bush but clinton was just as awful. He passed resolutions in Iraq that lead to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children. The UN now admits the resolutions didnt achieve anything yet at the time his defence secutary claimed that the "price was worth it".

That and he completely ignored the mass murder in rwanda.

Its so shocking that a country like a america can only produce 2 political parties that produce such appalling goverments. I'd have thought their would have atleast been a little more political diversity in such a large democratic country.

UUUUUGGGGG give me a break plz
Yes we had a wonderful economy during the Clinton disgrace...ALL THANKS TO REAGAN AND BUSH. Plz refer to afterflakes for more examples of the shameful Clinton years. See Sjean for the rest of the story.

I have a friend who fought in the Croatian war. He is a Dr. btw.
He said when his troops entered a village in Serbia that there was a banner hung across the street in the middle of this village and it read:

"Chelsea did you know Monica just swallowed your brother?"

You know that has to make you a proud American.
A Good President...loved by the world...I don't think so...more like a joke...a big fat dirty joke hung across main street in a bunch of 3rd world toilets.

Yea the world loved us all right. They loved us because we were getting weaker by the day...Lets not forget... al-Qaeda planned the 9/11 attacks 2 years before Bush ever WON the election.
Yea they loved us all right. I feel safer because if the world hates us I know Bush must be doing something right.

Clinton ignored the build up of terrorism. If he had been tougher we may not have had 9/11 or the war with Iraq.

He was definitely charming though and a good public speaker, both qualities that Bush is lacking.
