I want to connect to the internet at school, but the instructions say that I need a wireless network interface card installed on my laptop

Your laptop should have a PCMCIA slot that will accept a wireless card. If it does not, there are USB wirelesss adapters available.

You might want to make sure that your laptop doesn't have wireless built in already before purchasing one.

it will be a pcmcia card(size of a credit card but a little thicker) that slides into the side of your laptop and will pick up the signal from the schools network so you have access to the schools network
