I mean some people may not know what you are referring to, but non-video gamers alike would sometimes recognize the name....I really don't play video games that much at all these days, but i use to in the past, more back when SMS and NES were teh two big ones and then GENESIS...etc, then I sort of "waned off" from there... But I recall like ten years ago and before ELECTRONIC ARTS really hit big with there "sports series" and well they are still going.... The hockey games of the mid-90's era really had an appeal to a large audience I think....

Well its not really a surprise. The "Madden" series is an outstanding game. But i think business strategies along with strong marketing campaigns have made madden stand out. Not to mention EA sports buying out the competition.

Why is it strange? It's the best developed game for the most poplar sport in the country. Make prefect sense to me.

I have madden nfl 06 and I love it and madden nfl 07 is only $35.00 at walmart for GameCube. Everyone loves it.
