I think you answered your own question if you care to examine your details. Every terrorist harmed creates 20 more. So for starters, stop harming the terrorists. Step 2, be nice to them and they won't hate you.

You don't get that answer much. Probably makes most people mad to hear it but you get love when you love and you get hate when you hate. You think that the terrorist blew up the trade center because they just are hard workers who failed the first time and came back to finish the job, that it wasn't provoked? What is real? Is it what you see and hear on TV? You must leave the Matrix to be free!

Do you know how many enlist for every child starved by government sanctions? Or how many enlist when a civilian home is bombed?

A very difficult question and solution of the problem. Terrorist are two types
1. The opressed segments of the society for whom 'peace, justice and love are unheard. THey are victoms of the breutalities. They have been so cornered and have never been heard so terrorism is the only weapon with them to fight. SOLUTION. for defeating terrorism of this type you have to win these people by removing injustice from thr world.
2. the second category of terrorists are the evil ones. These can be group of people or communities of even the countries(State Terrorism). They are real culprits, they arethose who want to get power to setroy other for their unjust wishes.
SOLUTION. They have to be crushed by force. THere must be some standards on which they should be declared terrorist. Court of justice kmust declare them as terrorists.World must be united to defeat them weather they are group of people or countries.

Terrorism is a tactic, not a group or unified force. It's the use of force against non-combatants to achieve some political end. It's also the tactic of last resort, for people who have no other way to fight back.

To stop terrorism, you have to understand why it exists. It isn't because the USA exists or because the USA is Christian or because the USA has a lot of money.

It's because of the policies of a rogue nation--with nuclear weapons-- whose goal is to exterminate or otherwise remove a native people from their land so that land is owned only by people of a certain religion.

That nation is Israel, and the people it's removing don't have the means to fight back against Israel's high-tech American weaponry. You have to be pretty desperate to blow yourself up.

Terrorism is a crime that has been going on since man was first made. The first act of "terrorism" in the Bible was when Cain killed his brother Abel (see the Bible Book of Genesis). I believe that God is the only real solution to terrorism. However, to prevent terrorist groups from taking over we must take measures to "keep them down." While it will be a never-ending battle, our soldiers still enlist in our military in order to safe-guard you and me and all of our children...they join the military, not only to have a career, but to make sure we can all have the right to speak our mind. Hitler was a terrorist...he tried to control races of people...he tried to create a supreme race while destroying the rest...he tried to control thoughts and actions. If armies had not stood up against his terrorist ideals and his great number of followers, we would not be able to speak our mind in blogs, Yahoo! Answers, written books or newspapers. Well your numbers are off because no one is in charge to keep dead scores. As far as Muslims killing each other, OK by me that a local problem.
Hundreds to thousands get killed each week That's the Muslim's problem. Last I heard there close to 100,000 dead and 3000 last month. We are at war and yes we lose few a week, then we do a raid and kill a hundred more. My fear is the Girllmen and gals will yell genocide soon and support the murderers and hey were not doing it.

Its close to impossible unless we start at the core of the problem or issue....these terrorists thrive off of our fear and fear manifests itself into chaos! There has actually been a successful way discovered to combat religious fervorism. It happen during the initial westernization of japan about 100-200 years ago. They were upset because christian missionaries were converting Japanese people. So initially they tried to kill them, but the more they killed the more Christians they got who converted. So in a stroke of genius they decided to just mame the Christians. If you kill them they are martyrs, however if you chop off an arm or leg or other appendage they are discouraged. This actually worked and for a while stopped the spread of Christianity in Japan.

Terrorism, like communism and other ideas, can't be defeated. It can however be controlled and decreased which is the ultimate goal. There is no negotiating with terrorists because their only goal is destruction of anyone who doesn't believe as they do.

Terrorists often have a reason but define terrorist first. If you live in your house and one night a bulldozer comes and starts knocking your house down. You flee outside your house with your wife, son and daughter, trying desperately to stop them. But along with the bulldozer came soldiers to protect it. The son gets shot in front of his daddy. The girl gets raped and killed in front of the mother. The daddy tries to protect his wife but it is too late and he stays behind while his house is burnt to the ground. Sole reason: confiscation of property and land by the occupier.

Then tell him not to become a so-called terrorist. Give him any reason not to try to get back at the enemy. He is already dead inside. What difference does it make for him to blow himself up and to drag as many as possible with him into certain death. Not very sensible and wise to want an eye for an eye but sometimes pretty much understandable, unfortunately.

Don't understand me wrong: I am not giving green light to terrorists but in many occasions their story has a background we can only guess about. For sure I am not talking about the sick perverted minds seeking to destroy the unity of mankind. I am talking about the oppressed, for decades and decades while nobody stands up for them just because they support the enemies' side.
