it means he's curious and is looking for her input as a member of the opposite sex on certain issues surrounding it. it doesn't necessarily mean anything more than that.

no normal. at all. people always say.... friends friends friends. WHATEVER. a man and a woman can NEVER really be friends, one of them or both of them think about sex. It's just nature. I had this guy "friend" we were friends for like six years. we talked about everything, i mean everything. Then one day he proposed. I thought it was a joke. He said he always thought about it. Messed UP. See, one party felt more, I didn't even catch on. Really notice, a man and a woman friendship, pick anyone you like, one of them feels more, if not both. Really notice, and you can tell. Man and woman simply cannot be friends. Maybe the woman can, or the man, but not both together.

Usually its a subconcious way of saying i want you to do what were talking about to me, but then also, there would need to be other indications that would make her think this way, the way he looks at her, other things he has said in the past, if he hesitates when talking to other people about his g/f /wife when others are present - esspecially the person in question......also if there seems to be alot of accidental touching going on you can be sure he does feel something, he may jsut be unsure of what, or may not realise it himself. when i had a similair siutation with a guy friend of mine last year, i didnt realise until about 6 months into his subtle hints that, that was how he felt, even now he cant/wont admit it, because he has a g/f and im married.

only the guy and the girl know that. i talk to some of my male friends about sex and it means nothing more than two friends talking. others, i don't because i know it would mean more.

Very normal if they have a good trustfull friendship. And very healthy too.
People should talk more about sex for crissakes.
If the guy is asking questions about her personal preferences it might mean he is interested....depends on the conversation...

does he talk about sex as a subject this would mean that he feels that he can talk about sex with you. but if it's suggestive it means he wants to have sex with you

It depends on thE caliber of sex talk. I have a woman here at my office and we talk sex, but just to express ideas. there is absolutely zero going on between us as far as carnal activities go.

He's either really comfortable with you as a friend and can talk to you about anything or he wants to pursue a sexual relationship with you.
