My thought is Germany and that area but I know nothing about it, I also considered Italy but heard lately it was very dangerous...I know nothing about either, any advice would be greatly appreciated especially from natives from Europe.

It would be mainly sightseeing, nothing too 'wild' if you know what I mean.

Well I'm half native and the other half hasn't been in the US that long so...
I would just try not to pack too much in to one trip whatever you do. A lot of people try to see the whole country or even the whole western continent all in two weeks and when they get back they need a vacation from the vacation. I don't think its fair to say Italy is more dangerous than any other country in Europe. I lived there for 13 years and I have so many fond memories of it. Of course there are dangerous parts but thats a problem in every country, arguably even more so in the US than in any European country. I would go to the country that most interests you and do it at an apporpriate time of year. Don't go to Italy in August because everything is closed and its packed with tourists. Most of the country takes August off for vacation. Its a tradition from the days of Mussolini when he made it the appointed vacation month. Whatever you do, don't be afraid, be smart about your destination and you'll have an awesome time.

Rome is fantastic....a bustling city with amazing sights...the Colosseum was breathtaking! The Pantheon, the Forum, and the Vatican, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona...all wonderul places. Makes me want to go back! You cannot beat the food (pasta, gelato, bread, espresso, cheese!) and I did not find it to be dangerous or scary at all. Try not to stay near the Termini (near the subway). That is what I heard is the seedier part of town. Other than that, the shopping is great (SHOES!!!) and for the most part, the people were friendly.

You heard Italy is dangerous? I've never found it so. What do you like? That should dictate where you go. My favorite places have been Poland, Belgium, Italy and France. You can't do it all in two weeks, but I would imagine you're going to move around a bit, if you're there two weeks. I'd pick one country and stay internal, unless you want to do something like Belgium and the Netherlands and maybe Luxembourg (smaller countries).

England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, since you speak English, this make it easy to get around. Germany is a fun place also. Depends on time of year etc.

I'm from Czech, but I would say definitely Paris. I'm not sure about Germany, honestly - not so pretty and not so much to do there.... Or Netherland, people unbelivably frienly.

If I had just two weeks, I would pick one city (Dublin, London, Paris, Rome, etc) and really see it in detail.
