You can download a demo on yahoo video games for free but it is an ok demo. It takes about 30 minutes on a good comp to download. but it is not first person, just like the other age of empires games you control an army, build buildings and so on but there are minor differences. You can zoom in a little if that helps with the first person.

The game is awesome! The addition to the expansions of this game makes it much improved. The graphics is fixed, even when the cannons shoot, realistic smoke comes out. The game play is very polished. It doesn't use Internet connection to run this game.
It's the best game of its category.
