proud to be an american - know it sounds silly, but everytime i hear it i think about being at the giants game right after 9-11, everyone had a lit candle and they played that song, there was a huge flag in the outfield with members of the military holding it - very emotional.

There are two - "Friends" by Michael W. Smith and "Wind beneath my Wings" by Bette Midler
I can't even THINK about the songs without tearing up. Wind beneath my wings was sung at my best friend's funeral by someone I have never met, but she dedicated the song to me and my frien who was killed.
I actually don't really like that song, but think of the song Friends when I think of her. And I cry every time it comes on the radio.
