Magnets can alter the flow of nerve pathways, therefore blocking the transmission of some pain stimuli. Doesn't cure the problem, just blocks your perception of it.

There was an article in the "Skeptical Inquirer" magazine this month that says no, magnets don't work. People who think they do are benefitting from a placebo effect.
The only part I really remember is that hemoglobin in blood is not ferromagnetic. There's iron there, but not the kind that is attracted to magnets. If it was ferromagnetic iron, then when you got an MRI you'd either explode or get tossed across the room.
The other thing I'd say is that people who say yes, magnets do work usually give all kinds of different, sometimes disagreeing reasons why they work.

I have used the acupressure bracelet against nausea, and it worked. Then again, just applying pressure on that point on my wrist worked just as well, but this was more convenient because it kept my hands free at all times.
My friend used to buy those "magical" bracelets that cure high blood pressure, obesity, etc (she is overweight), and I have not noticed any improvement.
I assume if you're wearing it for something minor, it might have a placebo effect, because just feeling that you're doing something to help your health will make you more relaxed and alleviate the symptoms.
Be careful if you have pacemaker or heart problems- they can mess you up

Some people claim so but i have never tried that. May be its a knowledge which has not been very well known to the world. But the people who believe really feel confident about it. And claim that its effective in curing many ailments.

You know, I believe they do work...atleast i've used them and seen some good come out of them. i wear a magnetic bracelet when i go on planes or boats to keep me from getting motion sickness. it has helped a lot! Something about the polarity of the magnets and your body. it did the trick for me!
Part of it may be just in your head but honestly I have seen some results from it. i mean i still get headaches from motion but not the nausea that i used to before i started using it.
It wouldnt hurt to try!

Everywhere you go you are surrounded by magnetic fields. Headphones induce magnetic fields into the brain, mobile phones are radiating high frequency magnetic fields, your computer is radiating electromagnetic energy.
Do you really think strapping a bar magnet to your wrist is going to make any difference?

the ones you get in walmart dont work. i have severe arthritis in my back and have tried them all. i did find something that works. i wear a blue magnetic band from homedics theraP. its made with real earth magnets instead of the man made ones. it does work for me. i wear it every day. i wouldnt want to face a day without it. maybe it is mental, but i wouldnt think it is considering i have tried them all. i put this one on and within 5 steps it is like a pain killer kicking in. the pain just melts away. i hope this is the info you were looking for.

Never bothered with the bracelet too much - 'Q Pendants' are the go. they are a gold plated 'microchip' so to speak that you wear on a chain around your neck - this helps to settle the electron system within your body blocking out microwaves etc that cause your body to weaken and react to contaminants and disease. I have felt LOTS better since putting mine on 2 years ago - easier weight loss, better sleep, more vigour, more strength. List goes on!
