Yes. While 100 years is nothing in the history of the world it is a long time in society as we know it. A great many countries who are now members of the UN didn't exist 100 years ago. They were simply areas ruled by tribal chieftains and warlords or by Colonial powers. The main players in the Middle East were only carved into countries from the 1920s onward The way forward is through the UN becoming truly representative of world opinion. A strong UN will come to represent a strong world and while it wont be its function to impose political ideologies on peoples and governments it will have such power to isolate totally those countries who do not respect the rights and the wishes of all their people. Countries like Zimbabwe only survive at the present because surrounding countries cannot do a lot, they cannot invade a sovereign nation. A strong UN however could denounce pariah states and literally seal their borders (no trade, nothing in, nothing out). Any political figure on reaching power would realise he was only there by the consent of the people and would behave accordingly. Sorry if I seemed to go off the point slightly.

Multi-cultural people already do live side-by-side, especially in America. However, if you mean hostile cultures living side-by-side peacefully...not in the next 100 years. Probably not in the next 300 or 500 years, either. Those cultures that hate each other have hated each other for thousands of years, and as long as it is human nature to fight for what you believe is right, there are cultures who will probably never be fully peaceful with one another.

Well, in many parts of the world, there is multi cultural diversity. For example the US, which holds some 20% or so of the world population. On the other hand, the stability of Earth is a question at hand. It has been predicted that the rotation of the Earth will soon stop, and start turning in the other direction (maybe in 50 years or so). That will indefinetely have a grand effect on all life forms in one way or another.

Over two hundred years ago, European explorers and settlers were marring Native Americans throughout North America. Canadian fur trappers, American Colonial settlers, and Spanish settlers throughout the Caribbean all laid the groundwork for interracial societies.

As with many social perceptions, the view that today's attitudes reflect the attitudes of the past is flawed. Today's attitudes could best be described as one apex of a pendulum, one which has always swung, and one which will continue to swing. In the past, there have been times where the pendulum was completely in the opposite direction, and such attitudes will come again.

I hope so.

I guess that parts of the planet are stable enough now.

I wonder if the main difficulty is that people find DIFFERENCE of any kind quite scary and feel they have to judge, or try to change people.

So I think (feeling optimistic today) if the whole world educated new generations to accept difference, it might be possible everywhere in a hundred years.

I doubt it unless everyone becomes converted to Christianity as nelief in Jesus is imo the only thing that can reform human nature. Human nature is the cause of people's inability to live together peacefully in a multi-cultural setting.

it might happen. first we have to love each other the true love.
learn how to accept peoples there ways their are.

no one want to take African there ways there are.you can see there always try theirs best but is tone to nothing. i will take a example from myself i remember 4 year ago when i came to England i didn't speak or write any English.now i can read, write and speak in English. i know my english still not good but i try my best.

you will see some people have be to this country for more then 15 year still can't speak any English but we have a more advantage then other. where are we going?

the big problem is racism and we have to sort it out if we want thing to go well.in this world we are all this same. just this colour make a diference. please please don't believe what you see on TV and all this Media believe what you know.

try to approach African people and you will see their are not what you are thinking. African all over the world i paying what the media and TV says to people.

The planet will be absolutely fine. The people on the other hand, well, let's hope we all kill each other and leave the rest of nature alone.
