They listen to rap music really loud and have all their windows open. Are they trying to impress people? Don't they know that people don't want to listen to that vulger crap. I was sitting at a gas station and this getto looking black guy pulls up, goes inside, and leaves his stereo on and it was the most fowl thing I had ever heard. I was glad no childern were around.

Please read the question before answering. I said SOME blacks!! The only people that have annoyed me with fowl music are blacks! The others that listen to rap at least close their windows. I am sure others have experenced other races being annoying with their music but I have not. I know lots of people who do not like my music, but I do not boom mine out of my car. See the difference?

because they are very inconsiderate of the people around them, i hate when i see them with there children in the car, there poor ears! and the kids have to listen to all the disgusting things they say, the people that do it should be shot

I dont know- I live in an all white community and the ones who play the rap music up the most are the white boys. They deck out their cars with speakers and whatnot. Running around with their pants half around their bottoms with hats ****** to the side (they look so DANG funny!- like you said, with the "ghetto" look). Then on the other hand we have the hill billies pulling up blaring country music. (which NO one wants to listen to either)
I personally dont like it at all from any race, but honey, african americans are not the ONLY ones who listen to rap loud in their cars.
I am african american and I dont....
All it boils down to is that is a part of the younger generation now a days. It is fashionable to dress hip hop, listen to hip hop and submerse your self in the hip hop community. There is nothing wrong with that. If you dont like what they had on the radio- you should have rolled up your window- you cant control what someone else does.

I think being obnoxiously loud is a result of pent up anger and a left over result of a time when black could not be loud and could not/should not draw attention to themselves.
I have heard some really loud horrible rock music blasted by SOME white boyz around my way.
Also have heard some white boyz blasting rap too. So it not really a black thing...more like a guy thing.
Try to notice all the blacks you come by who don't blast their car stereo.....that may change the tone of your statement.

I'm a black woman that happens to enjoy playing my music loud in my car. It's not to offend anyone, it's actually a stress reliever for me when I'm driving. It takes my mind off of my hectic day and also it can be very stressful driving in California. I don't listen to a lot of rap, I will blast gospel, oldies anything that feels good to me at that moment.
Don't be so angry about the loud music. You are only in the same vicinity as that person for a short period of time. Roll your windows up if it's bothering you that much.

Well I'm going ta say this nice as i can as black person myself you have some other blacks that are what you would call ignorant ones but then blasting the music may be a stress reliever for some it just depends but the same as ya got dumb blacks you got dumb whites so don't just put focus on us because u got your loud mouth trailer trash white people out there same as any other nationality. oh an i was not trying to be rude with any thing i said i was just giving examples. much love an god bless.

They are trying to look tough. I do it but with Heavy metal or rap, censored of course. I never play music with bad words on it because i always think about the children!

They do it because they are insecure and feel by blaring music people will be impressed when in fact it gives the opposite affect

not just african american people enjoy rap music.
maybe the music YOU like offends people who like rap.
although you may not enjoy its lyrics and rhythm, as some people don't, doesn't mean you have the right to **** on it.
