Unless she has had a hysterectomy (surgical removal of the uterus), or gone through menopause at an extremely early age, she can definately get pregnant. Perhaps that is exactly what she is trying to do? I think your friend is just lucking out at this point, and besides, unprotected sex is ALWAYS a bad idea unless you're married! Age is a factor in fertility with women, but not until 45 or so.

Your friend has been very lucky! She may very well not be able to get pregnant, but 34 is generally not an age where fertility is a concern, unless she's going through early menopause. The bad heart and smoking don't have anything to do with fertility. Tell him to invest in some condoms, quick!

Well her age and the fact that she smokes could make her less likely to get pregnant but won't stop it. It's not likely that a 34 year old has gone through menopause. The fact that she has a heart condition probably has nothing to do with how easily she can get pregnant, it might just mean she shouldn't.

It took my husband 6 months of unprotected sex to get me knocked up the first time. And that was maybe a once a week basis. It only takes one freakin little sperm to fertilize on egg. That's it. Bad heart condition doesn't mean impregnable. Your buddy isn't too bright.
Age does not matter as long as both parties are producing egg/sperm. If she has no ovaries or had a histerectomy, then yeah, that would be impossible.
They could just be missing her 'fertile' period, meaning ovulation.

All things being equal, at 34 her fertility is past it's peak. But women in their 30s and 40s still conceive every day and perfectly healthy couple often take up to a year of unprotected sex to conceive. I don't know of a heart condition that would render her infertile; if her heart is that fragile, I'd think she'd wish to take precautions against getting pregnant as I'd think pregnancy and labor would be dangerous to her. I don't know what the truth is about her, but your friend would be wise to take the precautions that are available to him (like condoms) because no matter what she's told him, if she has his kid, he'll be financially responsible for it.

of course she can get pregnant. The only thing that will prevent it on her end is menopause which doesn't come until quite a bit later. Smoking and having a heart condition will not stop her from ovulating. I'd tell your friend to grab a box of condoms or something or he could end up with unintended little ones.

Unless something is wrong with her reproductive system like may be policystic ovarian syndrome, or something like that its very possible for her to get pregnant. So far he has lucked out. And she is misleading him by letting him believe that she wont get pregnant because of smoking and a bad heart condition. so he needs to wake up. Women well into their 40's have babies.

she can still get pregnant. It doesnt matter her age. Just there is a higher risk that the baby will have more problems such as down syndrome. It seems like he is just lucking out everytime. He is silly to think he cant get her pregnant. He should be more careful or he will end up with her pregnant.
