rw just means its readable and rewriteable
, if your r type is capable (most are) you can write to the disks no prob, just cant use the erase and rewrite option, it may be the disk your using has data on it already (preformat is rare) make sure the disk is blank (put it ina drive and go to my computer and try to access that disk) if clean makea folder put the pics in on XP classic veiw should be option to write these files to disk, do that, or try a freeware burner such as sonic record now, other than that you can upgrade toa CDRW burner they are not expensive, and are VERY usefull (DONT GET NERO!!!)also dont eceed 695 mb as disk are peaked at 700, giving room for folder data

CD-RW work the same way as CD-R as far as burning them goes. The only difference between them is that CD-RW allows you to rewrite over and over. What are you using to copy your pictures?

the cd-rw is the same like a cd-r but it has an extra feature.

it can be erased.

maybe you already burn somethng on the cd-rw and you just have to erase the cd so that you can use it again.

some software has features like to format the cd so that you can burn small amount of pictures at a time

Because CDRW are re wrutable sometimes they wont work on anything other than your own computer...try burning them with window xp...this should open a dialogue box when you insert the CD...If this doesnt work you may have to resort to using Nero or equivalent and then close your disk once you have burnt it...try and burn a big load at once as not to waste the space on the disk!!

Hope this helps

I use them to back up my files I don't want to lose as data disks.
You can use them 3 or 4 times before they become worn down and then throw them away. The content is 700MB per disc.
