You can do a couple of things. From reading the other posts to your message, you can purchase a wireless adapter from your local retailer that plugs into your USB port, which is the easy way. Get a Good One.
The other way is to purchase a network (aka) Ethernet card, open your computer case and insert the card into an empty slot. This gets involved to say the least and if you are not comfortable getting into your computer, I wouldn't do it. Also, if you go with the wireless adapter, it can be unplugged from the desktop and used with a laptop.

You should be able to use either a pci or usb wireless adapter. which depends on your needs. Stick with the USB unless you are comfortable opening up your computer case.
