2600 American soldiers dead in Iraq, 20,000 wounded, at least 30,000 civilians dead. Does anyone really believe that Iran would be easier? I'm seeing reasons here stated for not attacking like our troops are spread tho thin or the liberals will cry. It's so easy to sit here on our butts and type our little opinions in Yahoo about if we should attack a country that has not attacked us or even declared war on us. If we rush to war like we did in Iraq it is our soldiers and the Iranian civilians that will pay the price. If that doesn't matter to you then try this. If we invade Iran and the war goes badly for them, don't think they will do whatever they can to bring the war back here? Are you ready for suicide bombers in Washington, New York and LA? It doesn't have to be anything sophisticated. Just a guy wearing a winter coat walking into a mall at Christmas time with dynamite under his coat.

I thought it was Muslims who were supposed to be into suicide missions.The US is seriously bogged down in Iraq, and that country was far less prepared & equipped than Iran. Also, left alone, Iran will lean more towards democracy. Besides the US has done enough Empire building. Unless there is a dramatic change in policy and attitude, the US is seriously in danger of going down the tubes.

The US doesnt have the international support that is needed, along with a direct UN approved agenda and the physical manpower. You still have Iraq to occupy and maintain now that its fallen into chaos since the invasion, and Afghanistan is in need of troops too. I remember that the US was responsible for that too. Its hardly fair go around the world invading as is seen fit without dealing with the consequences of that.

Because almost all of our money, army and military equipment is in Iraq.
They'd need to bring back the draft before there would be enough solders to attack and you know they aren't going to do any such thing in an election year.
Unlike Iraq, which they knew was not an imminent threat to the US when we invaded, Iran can actually hit back.

Because there not REAL reason to attack?!
Because it would lead to WW3?! and that's not exactly a good option for us regular people who live on this planet and have no power over our governments. we are the ones that usually die and end up numbers in statistics, me and you!
Is it a crime to have nuclear weapons? they haven't used them, they didn't say they would, Their weapons purpose is defense, & to make the US government reconsider attacking them (which they've been dying to do for ages) .. Israel has nuclear power, why isn't that a problem? the US, UK, Russia, France, China, India, Pakistan, and north Korea ... why is that ok?
I DO NOT SUPPORT nuclear power .. but as long as ONE country has them, it gives the right to others! otherwise its obvious bias, double standards, and desire to control the world!
They want to scare you and make you believe Iran is a threat in order to justify attacking them .. while the truth is their attack other hidden motives, we're just being used dude!! don't fall for it, don't promote and justify war. be smart!

Lots more war is one really good reason, lots and lots and lots more war, maybe even WW III.
You know, maybe in some morbid and hideous way, it almost needs to happen, as it seems to be the only way that the we might ever wake up to what's wrong with us in this world, the U.S. included.
