I love spiders and I quite like them in my home knowing that they are eating flies and gnats and various other bugs that bite you.
Some have mentioned that the male will eat them - that's if he is around to do so as the female tends to eat the male after mating!!!!! When she has built her sac with the eggs inside, she will crawl away and die. Tiny spiders then hatch and float away to live a life, but only a third of them survive as they may get eaten themselves etc. I say leave them, as they will soon go away. Just make it easy for them to escape.

You stayed long enough to count them???
Getting rid of them without killing them is going to be a long job using one of those plastic devices. Alternatively you could shut the door and leave them to deal with each other. You see spiders eat each other, so after a rather long time, you'd open the cupboard door to find one REALLY REALLY BIG SPIDER. Not sure that would be easier to deal with though!

Well, apparently they don't like the smell of cloves - so go and get yourself a pot of cloves and chuck them in the cupboard - but I don't know how quickly they may decide to get out!
I also don't know if the ground clove would work - if you throw that over them, it might slow them down a bit!
I hate spiders and would be happy to kill them all - but I can't get that close to them. My husband has to catch them and put them outside - but do try the clove thing - they certainly move away from it.

Kill 200 flies and put them in a trap, the spiders will be lured toward the flies and BANG shut the trap. If this fails, listen to Tallulah and ring your dad

Sorry - you only have 2 choices - kill them or leave them to go away themselves - If the male is there he will kill his kids by eating them anyway. Gives him the chance to breed again!! If they are not poisonous leave nature to do it's work. If they are - JUST close your eyes, send in the bug spray and vacuum them up. Better them than you - trust me we have some pretty NASTY spiders in Australia.

WITHOUT killing them?
Good luck. If you are trying to scoop them up and take them outside, you will never get them all, and they will continue to lay eggs in that spot and breed more.
