I have a little girl due November 26 and it's the only name her daddy and I agree on. Other name suggestions welcome.

If that's the name you agree on, then that's the perfect name. I think it's beautiful. In my opinion it sounds like a name that will grow up with her. When she's little, Zaley sounds cute and cuddley. But as she grows, Zaley Elizabeth sounds like a board room director's name or something you might see roll in the credits of a movie. Go with it!!!! If it's a boy (surprise, surprise) Zaley probably could be used for that too. Is it a family name?

I felt compelled to answer as I am a teacher (and also pregnant). Having a cutesy name is fine and all but EVERY parent that I've come in contact with that has given their child a cute name (or spelling) as been extremely difficult to work with (not to mention their child). Many teachers can tell when the class list arrives which students are going to be challenges due to unusual names or spellings. The first school I taught in was a middle school and there was a child in the EBD (Emotional Behavioral Disability) classroom named Precious. She really was a handful and to put to bluntly, she wasn't too precious. Think twice about the cute name. How will your child feel at 50 having a name like Zaley? Better yet, what about 85? She's not going to be little for too long. You may want to rethink it. I love Elizabeth. Maybe you could just change the order and have her be Elizabeth Zaley.

Just like the name Elizabeth. I've never heard of Zaley before, but it sounds male. What about Zoe?

Sorry I don't like Zaley how about:

Miley Elizabeth
Kera Elizabeth
Jaida Elizabeth
Kaden Elizabeth
Zaria Elizabeth
Azaria Elizabeth

But you and your husband name your baby girl whatever you guys want. If you two agreed on Zaley then go ahead. Congrats to you

I'm sorry but I don't care for Zaley. I love Elizabeth though. How about Zoey Elizabeth or Haley Elizabeth?

Zaley sounds like a boys name, and Elizabeth is clearly a girls. I would be confused. Keep trying and don't always try to be unique. Think from the heart.

"Zaley" is ugly and cheesy and sounds made up. Don't put your child through that. Sorry, but that's just my opinion and obviously alot of other people's on here. I personally think I have great taste in names (girl names especially) so if you want feel free to contact me for a list of my faves :-) Congrats on the little one.

I think it is beautiful!!! I love uncommon & unique names. I also think your daughter will like having a name of her own & not having to share it with tons of people. My name is Amber & I hated it growing up because there were at least two other "Amber's" in all my classes. I have always loved uncommon names & tried to give all my kids uncommon names.
I think Zaley Elizabeth is absolutely beautiful!

My kids' names are:
Alexandria Elizabeth
Clayton Daniel
Dannicka Cheayne
Erynn Marie

Good luck & congrats!
