i live in Norway, oslo is the moste expencive city in the world..

I moved to London about 18 months ago and I love it. There is always so much going on and so much to occupy you in the city. The city itself is amazing with lots of great architecture and history.
London's proximity to Europe and the US is hard to beat. It is a good starting point for day and weekend trips around the UK as well as anything down to weekend trips to continental Europe.
Careerwise it is also excellent. It's a huge (and currently booming) economy where all the big deals are done.
Having said that ... I wouldn't live here permanently. The weather is terrible, there are way too many people in the city and there is too much red tape, everything is so expensive and bureaucracy for anything to run efficiently.

It depends on what your looking for.My husband and I tried to move to London but ran into a lot of bureaucracy and then there was also a housing problem and oooh my gosh the prices to rent an appartment(even in the suburbs).Careerwise,well getting a job isnt an issue but that all depends on what kind of jobs you are looking for. And oops yeah,the weather is rainy most of the time so if you are a sunworshipper forget it.
Personally I like London for short trips,but not to live.

To Bee: London doesn't really have much fog anymore. The famous "London Fog" was actually smoke and it's been cleared out after a bunch of people died all at once from all of the pollution. Hence its nickname: The Big Smoke

Where do you come from and what is your objectives? London is very expensive, housing difficult and salary is not the most competitive. Regular annual salary is about 24k-30k. Sounds much but isn't. Think it over dude, there are better places to go.
Office jobs make long hours, plus traveling, plus bad weather.

- places to go out
- city life
- lots of great fun
Reasons not to move:
- WEATHER - its dreadful for 99% of the time
- MONEY - its so expensive!!
- career - generally speaking its not going to improve your career unless you get a massive promotion
