I like to apply for business license and tax id but can't afford dishing outthe fees all at once. Is there a particular order you have to have these registered all at once. I'm not sure the business would be a success. I would like to test it before I make it official. Its a clothing swap and trunk show concept I would like to test on the market.

you can register the business as a "sole proprietorship" and then you wouldnt need the tax id number because it would be filed under your social security (your tax id) number.

First you have to register the company that better suit your necessities LLC, INC etc. Then you have to obtain a Certificate of Use issued by the Department of Planning and Zoning (Not sure about the fee it shouldn't be much). Meanwhile you have to apply for a occupational License it cost $ 150.00 annually (Fl), and thereafter you should applied for a TAX ID (which is free) that is a certificate to not pay sales taxes because merchandise is for re-sale (only resale merchandise applied for tax exception) and the employer identification number too (free too). My suggestion is get an accounting service and be sure of what you want to do and what exactly you can do because of your budget.
I hope you find this information helpful.

sort your LLC first, get yer TIN and then get yer county biz license. you may also want to get a state TIN (tax identity volume). a first rate accountant should be able to safeguard all of this for you on-line in a pair hours. Mine did. also, it is also plausible to need a city biz license.
