When I was still in the closet, I was dating a guy, 20 years my senior (might be sick to you.) I used to tell my friends that he was an Uncle and was staying at his house till I got on my feet. One day, my friend came over to visit. There were only 2 bedrooms. I slept in the same with my boyfriend and his (straight??) roommate slept in the other bedroom. My friend asked me, where is your bed and told him I slept in my Uncle's bed and was going to get my own soon. What the hell am I saying? Can I pull this off?I was such a stupid 19 year old at that time. Well, it gets crazier! His roommate, at that time, did not know that we were gay! He never asked or said anything. What would you do if you knew a 19 year old that befriended a 40 year old and they both slept in the same bed? Does that set off any red flags to the straight dumb, ignorant man? Anyways, if you have experienced anything as ridiculous and stupid as mine, I would love to read what you have got!

Yeah, and the worst part of my story is I actually began to believe it.
I got married, had a baby and the bastard cheated on me.

Well, thankfullly that woke me up and I stopped living that lie!!!

Well, my mom kept asking me abt my bestfriend (who's also gay)... you know stuff why she's not married and if she ever had a boyfriend... and I tell her some lame story that she was heartbroken at an early age, that she had a b/f b4 but he broke her heart, etc. that's why she's still single. Heh. It's sort of a half-truth anyway and my mom was ok with the answer.

Great story tho' even if u had a hard time hiding it. I guess that's what we closeted gays/lezzies need to do to hide our sexual orientation. You make up stories abt stuff. It happens. Hey, age doesn't matter. As long as you get along and totally love each other... ;o)

I have fabricated stories yes but not to this extreme. I have told many people, family included, that my partner was "engaged" to a man when we first got together. We had the entire story concocted and the break up down to a tee. I felt bad but I come from an ULTRA conservative family and me being with a woman would have gone over like fire ants in a bed!!!!!

I never told a story to anyone. I simply, for a long time, just didn't discuss my sexuality with anyone. I never lied. I just waited until I was ready and came out. my EX however, a total closet case, made up this elaborate story about MY past (that I had this boyfriend that I lived with that died....) and told her family and friends and THEN told me the story and advised me that I had to remember it if anyone should ask me about my past (they never did). she made this up to hide the fact the we had a relationship. along with many other deceptions and lies that she told me and others, I ended things. I don't deal well with people lying and deceiving me. In my case, it just wasn't funny.....

I even have this extraordinary fantasy that considering that my teenagers are long gone to grandmas that i will come abode to a calming bottle of wine, candles on the table, my husband donning no longer something yet an apron...and he does me remarkable there on the eating room table, to hell with the chicken parmesean. yet needless to say that's in basic terms a wild fantasy which could stay perpetually in my head.

Haha, that's wild. I guess some people will believe anything to avoid dealing with the truth.
