I know they allow people to take 1 item with them that they otherwise wouldn't be allowed to. Mine would be lotion because I have such dry skin, I would be miserable without it.

GOOD QUESTION - I LIKE IT, a pair of reading glasses.
1. magnify sun for first fire.
2. one lens can be broken to create a small knife.
3. frame can be bent into a hook for fishing.
ps - CHEAT - before heading to the show have someone knit you a jumper. This will allow them to add a strand of fine fishing wire to the wool. You then have a line to use with your fish hook.

Soap. Maybe a liquid soap a really big bottle. I have heard that they all stink pretty bad after a couple of episodes. Nothing worse than B. O. .

a good book i don't mind reading and re-reading, but a good multi-tool like a Leatherman's would be a close second. a small fishing kit probably wouldn't be allowed, but would be a good choice if there was a river/ocean nearby.

I'd take a swiss army knife, I think. There aren't many circumstances when that wouldn't come in handy.

Or maybe a case of whiskey. That'd come in handy a lot too. lol I bet it would be good for bargaining/building alliances. ;-)

A cookbook, so I could read and learn at the same time. when I return home, I'd be able to cook by heart! Those pics could either hurt me or help me though.. tough one.

Some kind of drug to drug people, then go over and eat the camera crews food while they are sleeping. I would hide it in a flashlight that I would hope they would let me bring.
