And why should it matter? It is a religion of peace and they are not bugging you any. If they try to share with you and you don't want to know, just tell them so.

Sounds like you've already formed an opinion especially since you're wondering what to do. Mormons are decent hard working people. Yes they do have a philosophy that may be contrary to non Mormons but we do live in a free society that allows folks to practice whatever belief they choose. My advice is to get to know your neighbor as a person (if that's something you want to do) and if you want to learn about their faith then go ahead and ask and learn. The Mormons I've known have not imposed their faith but rather shared what they believed. I'm a follower of Jesus Christ and I'm always wanting to learn about other beliefs so I can offer/share the blessings of mine.
I believe we should be open and let our conscious be our guide. Hopefully you're open to learning new things whether you choose to incorporate them in your life or not.
I hope this information helped ...

TO CHRISTIAN MOM: It would appear that you know nothing about Mormons, so I will enlighten you: they are Christians. That's why the name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. If they didn't believe in Christ, why would they put his name right in the title of their entire church? The Book of Mormon is entirely about Christ and their beliefs about him - 100%. Your answer seems kinda silly now, doesn't it?
To the original question: It depends on why you are asking - if it concerns you, you should figure out why. They are just people, like any other people. Mormonism is simply their religion. Do you go around freaking out about the religion of all your neighbors?
But if you are asking because you are interested, the answer is obvious - ask them about it.
If you are asking because you are somehow afraid of Mormons, you obviously need a little education on who Mormons are and what they practice. Aside from being a little strict and having some sexist views, their brand of religion is no crazier than anyone else's - saner than some, weirder than others.
However, if you are asking just to be obnoxious and cause division among religions - no need, there is plenty in the world.

Rejoice! I'm one of 'em, too. We try hard to be good neighbors.
We'll help you move, invite you over for dinner, bring you a loaf of fresh-baked bread, etc. Better lock your doors this month, though. Some of 'em have gardens, and they'll fill you house with tomatoes and squash if you're not careful!
You may notice they have strange habits. We don't have any professional clergy, so every active family gets a real chance to contribute to the congregation. If they're active, they'll spend a lot of time doing church activities and helping members. If they're like us, they'll start the day pretty early. If you look in the window, you'll see them reading the scriptures each morning, then kneeling in prayer. On Monday nights, they hold Family Home Evening, where they sing songs, have a brief lesson, discuss family matters and (most important) have refreshments.
If they have teen-age children, they'll attend public schools, but may go to a class called seminary each school-day morning, before classes. They'll study the scriptures, and try to get a spiritual start to the school day.
We love our religion, and love to share it. If you're not interested, just say so, but try not to close the door on friendship.

Be as good a neighbor as I hope he or she is to you. Mormon people are normal you know... in fact, they are typically nicer than most people. Try saing hello and introducing yourself.
