A ton of iron, how much does it weigh at the Earth's center? Or a cubic meter of iron or lead? Or a cubic meter of whatever stuff that is now there at the very center?

Please note: According to raw data, a total of 2,727,233 similar questions have been asked so far (in the U.S. alone) -- but similar how? And where are the answers? And were any of the questions so similar as to be exact to this one?

I want the answer to this exact question, but also in a broader sense I'm interested in many similar questions. It's all very exciting, and so I have come to Yahoo-Answers in the spirit of exciting inquiry...

At the Earth's center, any object has no weight. This is because gravity inside a hollow sphere (due only to the sphere) always pulls equally in all directions, resulting in a net force fo zero. At the center of the Earth, you're essentially inside such a hollow sphere. The pressure, on the other hand, is incredible at the center of the Earth or any other massive celestial body. And the object's mass never changes, no matter where in the Universe you place it.

Nothing (or very nearly nothing). If it's in the center of the Earth, all of the Earth's mass is outside it, pulling in different directions. The forces cancel out. The only net force on the iron would be due to uneven distribution of the mass of the Earth, plus a slight force from the Moon.

Weight (pounds) is based on gravity. at the center of the earth "all" gravity is balanced & the ton of iron would be weigthless.

However, the MASS (grams) remains the same. Mass is based on the total amount of matter. Since the matter hasn't changed the mass hasn't either.

At the centre it's weight would be zero but it's mass would be 1 ton

the iron replaced into no longer for God, it replaced into to apply against the warriors of Judah, who in basic terms had wood weapons and chariots, etc. steel had on no account been so broadly a used ingredient lower back interior the day. and while they say God replaced into "with" them, they recommend that He replaced into "on their part", that it replaced right into a "in basic terms" conflict. resembling ways the call Emmanuel (between the names used for Jesus) skill "God with us", it does no longer recommend He replaced into remarkable there battling beside them (in spite of the undeniable fact that he's supposedly omnipresent), yet rather, He replaced into "rooting for them". no longer that He did no longer choose to help them, even though it rather is like the asserting: "supply a guy a fish, and he will consume for a dday. instruct a guy to fish, and he will finally initiate a holy conflict over a rustic that they do no longer in all danger deserve, via fact they denied the Son of God, and have been given His Son killed (no longer as we communicate, even though it replaced into intentional), and now the only ingredient they are common for is their love for money...WHAT A STEREOTYPE, incredibly while the guy who taught them to fish replaced into variety of against money, no longer as we communicate. guess that's what you get for being fishers of guys, eh?
