Has she asked for advice? I think that's where you should start. Unless she's approached you on how to "handle" something like this, you should just stay neutral and not offer anything. Bottom line - this is her decision and you can't persuade or disuade her in any direction.

No advice, people are into this on line affairs. Caught my husband on line with his high school girl friend we had corresponded with her a few times. I gathered all the wrong e mail addresses that and wrote a nice e mail saying how much fun my husband and I were having redecorating our love nest and how good the sex was and a bunch of other stuff. The only real address was hers. She was pissed at my husband. Then I wrote her a letter saying I was going to her home and talk with her husband and show her all the e mail I had copied and I was going to make it into a book and donate it to her local library and I was going to copy some of the e mail and nail a copy to all the telephone poles in her neighborhood and distribute it around her neighborhood to show what a whore she was. Also I had turned her into the police because I read into her e mail that she was going to off her sick husband. My husband is still my husband and he thinks i am a witch. She had to tell her husband because she knew I was coming to get her. I got on her web site and wrote everyone that she was being a whore having an on line affaire with my husband and that she intended on killing her husband. Now was I right.

Stay out of it, unless she asks your opinion. As long as it stays on-line I think its harmless. Maybe she just needs the attention right now.
