the extra time saved gets sent to the north and south poles. thats why its daylight 6 months at a time there. some of it goes to arizona too since we dont save any time.

The nature of time is that it can't be saved or kept.
So, it is all a facade, an illusion.
There really is no such thing as daylight savings time.
Nothing saved, nothing kept.

Originally, it was created to give farmers an extra hour of harvesting time in the evening. Later, it was promoted to use less electricity for lighting in the evening, because it stays light longer.
