My friend met this woman (21 years old) and married her after knowing her for 9 months.
A month after their wedding she said it was a mistake and she was never in love with him.
It has been a year and a half since they married and they both are miserable.
A month ago she sat him down and told him she wanted a divorce.
This week my friend confessed to his wife that he thought about cheating on her and she admitted to kissing another guy.
Now out of the blue he says she is happy, and they are all lovey-dovey and she says she is so happy.
He said she must have had a change of heart because they told each other the truth.
I was happy for him, but I thought it was really weird.
How do you go from unhappy for over a year and wanting a divorce to acting like everything is perfect?

No, they don't have an agreement to cheat.
They are "religious" so they are not like that. They don't really follow their beliefs like they say though.

Not real sure how situations like that turn around. Typically, I've found they re-surface in short order though.
Really only they know what turned it around. they may have taken each other for granted and, based on their conversation/confession with each other decided not to any longer. There are a thousand possibilities.
If they are happy now I wouldn't give it much thought.

Well, maybe they realized they need to put more effort in and really work on things. Maybe they realized they do love each other and they want it to work out. Maybe they had a long talk and decided they were better off together and believed in each other.
Or, there's a huge amount of lies and denial going on.

Unless approached.........and even so ..........others relationships are to complicated to involve yourself in...........be there when your friend needs you but always caution yourself on what you say about the other person......just because they are or have had problems doesn't mean they want to hear the truth from someone else

they were able to confess their no-no's of what they thought of doing in your friend's case and what his wife actually did. the thought of being w/out each other might have brought the sparks back into their marriage....but something tells me that might not last for very long.
