The star shouting out of the indian's bow and arrow, does it have any meaning?

When I was little if you had a star on a tootsie roll wrapper you got a prize. I think it's on all wrappers now, though.

It actually doesn't mean anything. There was a legend that it meant that the candy had been inspected by "Shooting Star" and that if you sent it back to the factory you would get a free bag, but that's not true -- a huge fraction have them.
