Well.... birth records can't be found on the net... but sometimes, if they have an uncommon name, and they put their info out on the net, you can "Google" them and get that information. Otherwise you are going to have to become chummy with someone at the DMV.

Be entirely dependant on what info they fill out in profiles, etc if you are talking about finding info on their accounts for like Yahoo, etc. If you mean through legal files, that would depend on where they lived and if that information is even available online - many areas do not post any info you would find in a City Building online yet.

If they want people to know then it should be clear on fairly open sites. Eg answers should give a hint, general search engines likewise. Otherwise it's not the concern of the general public and you should dare to ask them....if it really is that important.
