What's more important to you, the friendship our the potential relationship, which might end the friendship if it doesn't work out?

I went through the same thing years ago. Come to find out he felt the same way about me. We tried dating which was fun, but always felt that if in the long run it didn't work out we would miss our friendship. We decided that our friendship would last forever, but the relationship had potential to end. We chose the friendship and are still friends today, 20 years later. Just FYI, our short dating period stopped before we were very intimate. We knew that was a deal breaker.

Are you scared to tell her because you don't know if she wouldn't wanna be your friend anymore or do you think its disrespectful to your friend (her ex). If you would like to tell her I say go ahead and tell her. Love conquers all. If not then your just gonna have to deal with it make do with the friendship you do have with her

I think the unknown is what plagues most. Either talk to her about the way you feel and see if she reciprocates or grin and bear it ... did your friend and she break up recently? If not, it shouldn't be a big deal, but tread lightly.

Tell her discreetly and give her the chance to say yes or no. My husband has had a good many friends that were not his friends after they tried to approach me. So take your chances.

Tell your friend how you feel about her. Don't sit back and wait cause then it may be too late. That don't mean rush and do things, be patient at the same time.
Good luck, I hope she likes you as much as you like her....

Be honest. Nothing bad ever came from honsety. Just know that after you tell her things are going to be different.

Tell her how you feel. If you don't you may regret it. I was in the same boat. I was in love with her and she was in love with me but it was to late.We both moved on. Its a long story. Good luck !

that's a tough one. If she feels the same way then great but if not you'll loose a friendship. If you really really think that she might feel the same way then maybe you should talk about it with her.
