If you stay out of the sun, or wear sunblock, it will gradually fade on its own. To speed up the process, exfoliate you skin in the shower. Use a body wash withe the little exfoliating scrubbing beads in it. But don't scrub too hard 'cause sometimes they can irritate your skin...

It depends if it is a real tan or a fake tan. For a real tan, exfoliate with a loofah sponge (aka bath pouf) that you can find at most stores. Scrub your skin with the loofah every time you shower, wear sunscreen, and your tan should be gone soon. For a fake tan, take half of a lemon and rub it over your skin. Lemon juice works well to remove tanning products.

Stay out of the sun and do an exfoliation routine. Exfoliation will help speed up the sloughing of the damaged (tanned) skin cells.
On top of that start using a high SPF sunscreen everyday.

Stay out of the sun and it will go away on it's own as the body sheds it's skin. You can always take drastic measures and bleach your skin, but I would not recommend that.
