he won't see a theripist, but he won't join us...he plays video games and lives in the basement away from us. He spends may-be 15 minutes a day with us, and that's being generous!

there is no way to force someone to "take an interest". I unfortunately know that all to well. Was he always like this? or is this something new....if its new, it can be fixed. If he's always been like this??...why change him now? you loved him for it at some point. My guess is this is a new behavior, you need to set him straight or set him loose...don't be miserable with it forever, you have kids to think of and they need a real dad. Best of Luck - Scooter

Make those 15 minutes memorable. Just keep inviting him to the kids activities/awards ceremonies. Plan family activities and "invite" him along. DO NOT NAG him! Ask him as if it would be nice if he came, but you don't mind if he doesn't. If you're sweet about it, he probably won't get annoyed, but he might want to come with you, or at least start making an effort. In the meantime, ask him about his video games and if you can stand it, after the kids have gone to bed, see if you can join him for a game or two. If he still ignores you....get on with your life, be the best mom and wife you can be and start saving money in your own account. You may have to ditch this guy once the kids are out of the house. Hopefully he'll come around and things will get better for you. Good luck!

you know it all on how you started your relationship. If hes been doing this all the time well you are to blame to if not well knock him over the head and tell him to get with the program.
