I would recomend either Aveno's outmeal lotion or even if not try Cocoa Butter not the lotion but the actual real Cocoa Butter. Not only does it help with the dry skin but it also helps with any scaring that might be there. Oh and If you looking for an actual Lotiont try Oil of Olay's Quench extra dry lotion it's in the Purple Bottle I absoulutly swear by the sturff. I had really dry skin. I'd put on lotion in the morning and by the afternoon my skin was peeling. And as soon as I tried this stuff it's went away. I can even go a day without lotion now and still have nice skin. I love it!! I hoped I helped.

Dry brushing is a fantastic way to get rid of dry skin! You can find a dry brush in any beauty store or health food store. Always dry brush before you get into the shower, and do it in a circular motion. Then, when in the shower, use an exfoliating glove with a moisturizing body shower gel, and GENTLY scrub your skin with it. After hopping out of the shower, while your skin is still damp, use a lotion that is specific for dry skin. You'll want to lock in the moisture from the shower and the body gel. Trust me, this works! I used to have dry skin on my upper arms, then I started dry brushing, and it's smoothe as a baby's bottom! Good luck!

I have severely dry skin on my elbows and my legs have a tendency to become very dry. I use Aveeno bath soak and when I don't use the Aveeno I bathe with Olay Ribbons and use the new Olay Quench Therapy body lotion. They seem to be working wonders on my skin. Good Luck.

I have dry skin on arms and legs. Every night after my bath (while my skin is still wet from bath) before I wrap a towel round, I take a small piece of coconut oil (about bean-sized), rub it in my hands till melted, then spread over my wet skin. If your skin is wet it is easier to spread and absorb. This works really well and is really cheap.

Nivea Creme works wonders for me - apply it to dry areas in the morning and at night and your skin will be moisturized within days. Also, use a body wash that is moisturizing, like I use Suave Cucumber Melon moisturizing body wash. Good luck!

Try colloidal oatmeal cream or baths from Aveno they are great, otherwise try Eucerin. Both products work wonders and are the greatest on dry skin care.
Good luck!

Apply lotion after every shower or bath to the areas that are really dry. My favorite to use is St. Ives Collagen Elastin lotion.

Depends on what's causing it.
It may be irritated by your soap, laundry detergent, lack of humidity in air, etc.
If it's something more than lotion can solve, I'd probably isolate the soap/detergent/etc. and see if any of that's having an effect on it.
