Yes, the Cardinals are falling apart, so all they have to do is keep up the pace. They will win the division, and probably be in the playoffs next year too.

The Cardinals will definately take the division title. Have you noticed that whenever the Cards are doing bad, the Reds are also doing bad? That's how the Cardinals have stayed ahead of the Reds in the Central Division despite all the losses they've suffered, especially about the same time as the 1st baseman Pujols had come back from injury during inter-league play.
It is possible that the Reds will take the Wild Card position into the playoffs, but I doubt that they'll be able to do much with it.
As for next year, it's too early for that. We'll just have to wait and see how the team looks at that point.

The Reds certainly could make the playoffs either by wild card or by the Cardinals continuing the suck. However, I look for the Cards to pick things up, and for either the Astros or a team out of the NL West to challenge for or even earn the wildcard spot.

The Reds are not very good, in any normal year they would not even be contending. The only reason they have any hope is because outside of the Mets, the NL is godawful. Seriously just consider that winning half of your games is good enough to challenge for a playoff spot in the NL. I would hope that the NL would improve enough by next year that the same Reds team would not contend for a playoff spot (even though I do love and support the Reds).

The Reds also made a questionable overhaul around the trade deadline, picking up a lot of unproven players in exchange for a lot of unproven players. Why take such a risk if at that point you have a multi game lead in the wild card race? The Reds management is terrible, I have learned not to expect much from them.

I believe they will make the playoffs. More than probably in the wild card position, but I hope as the winner of the Central Division. That would be great. The schedule does favor the Reds as they play a lot teams under .500, which does not say a whole lot, considering there are only about 4-5 teams at .500 or above. The only problem is they struggle against those teams and play the top teams, except the Dodgers, pretty well. If they can have their top players stay healthy, then they should make it.

The Cincinnati Reds have a lot of momentum right now. They continue to generate late inning comeback wins and also run away with some games. Their starters are making quality starts and last longer in the game. Still a little shaky with the middle relievers, the Reds are finding the right combinations with these pitchers to come out ahead of the situation. The offense has been productive and creates hits when needed the most. The Reds definiately have a great chance at making the post season, if the don't win the division, which they have a very good chance, they will definately win the Wild Card.

I think Cincinnati is going to win the wild card (St. Louis will eventually pull away to win the Division Title). They'll only win the wild card because everyone else is so weak in the NL.

But once they make the playoffs, anything can happen in a 5 or 7 game series. Even the worst team can beat the best team 4 out of 7 times...

I just wish Oakland hadn't given up on Aaron Harang...

I think that they will win the wild card. Although the Cardinals are struggling as of late, they're going to be like the White Sox of last year; Huge lead at mid-season, team creeping up behind them, pull it together at end of season, go onto win division (not WS this year) The Reds will win the Wild Card, then lose to the Mets in the NLDS.

With out a doubt, the reds will make the playoffs ! will they take the cards??, dont no for sure, but i think they can, & after carpenter, the cards pitching is not as good as the reds ! kudos for all the reds bull pen moves to strenghten their pitching staff !, the reds are constantly changing to try to improve not only their current club, but also their entire 40 man roster ! which as a fan, you have to love the constant improving efforts !the reds got tremendous heart in their players,( freel everyday diving into the stands & fences, & walls,) & very patient hitters , not to mention the flexability & versatility that they currently enjoy over other teams as well ! if jr. & or arroyo can find their groove, it could be trouble for other clubs in the weaker national league !

i assumed that the Cincinnati Reds replaced right into a countrywide League Baseball team. while did they connect the NFL ranks in soccer. I continually theory that baseball and soccer replaced into 2 diverse activities. they may be performed interior a similar stadium however the sphere shape is diverse. additionally the Cincinnati Beagles would desire to triumph over the Reds to a pulp. Baseball is pretenders and the NFL is the contenders.
